Welcome

I warmly welcome you to our new-look website. As you can see, we now wear a ‘new face’. It is our responsibility to be inclusive of all neuromuscular conditions and so we have changed our name to Neuromuscular Alliance to better reflect the breadth of services we provide across 40 or more different conditions.

Our goal is to provide members, future members and health professionals with education, research analysis and information, personal support and help with equipment provision without excluding anyone with a neuromuscular condition and our new name honours this responsibility.

Your new website comes at a time of much change. There are a number of new initiatives being launched for the benefit of our members. These include your first national lottery, your Research Foundation and a world-first exercise programme currently in development and testing. These are tangible outcomes of our mission statement to continually provide more services to our members. Read about them on this website.

We believe in being accessible to our members so, if you like the website, let me know, if you think we can improve it, let me know. Please bear in mind the site has yet to be finished and a number of pages are still under construction. Any comments? Contact me personally on graeme@nma.org.nz.
