Making it easy to get the right service
On 18 March 2010, the Health and Disability Commissioner launched a new DVD resource on the Code of Rights titled,
“Making it easy to get the right service”.

This DVD provides an overview of the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers’ Rights to assist disabled people to understand and exercise their rights when receiving health and disability services. This DVD also explains the importance of speaking up when things go wrong so that service providers can make improvements to their service.
The accessibility features of the DVD include:
o New Zealand Sign Language
o Subtitles
o Audio Description of silent scenes
