Camps

Our younger person’s camp is going ahead later this year, although due the school holidays being held later than usual due to the Rugby World Cup, the camp dates will be from Monday 10 October – Thursday 13 October. Please ring the office, 343 4083 to reserve places or mention it to Lis. Please let us know if your child intends coming so we can plan enough carers with the physiotherapy students.

The adult camp next year has been booked from Thursday 15 March to Sunday 18 March 2012.

Motorbike Show held in Christchurch February 2010 A very successful fundraiser for MDA Canterbury

A DVD has now been produced from this show and MDA Canterbury has been nominated to receive $2.00 per copy sold.

Office:

Community House, which housed the MDA Canterbury office where Eris and Lis worked from, is one of several buildings in the Christchurch CBD which has been recommended for demolition.

Our temporary office is based in the Enable Building 36 Kingsley Street Sydenham Christchurch. We have been offered this space for three months and then possibly longer depending on suitability and availability.

The Canterbury AGM

The Canterbury branch AGM was held on the 12th of April where a cheque was presented from the profits from the Motorbike Show.

Rodger and Lynne announced their resignations from the Canterbury Branch of MDA and were duly acknowledged with flowers and Wine from the Canterbury Branch. Rodger says that he will always be available for advice.

The Annual Adult Camp

The Annual Adult camp held at the end of February 2010 was a great success and we expect the Annual Children’s camp to be as much fun. Here is a photograph form the Annual Adult camp.
